Visual Poet Salutes David Letterman and Natchez Eight Baby Boomer Siblings

Today, I highlight the Baby Boomers Tribute to recognize all Baby Boomers; eight siblings, David Letterman and other fabulous Boomers.  We heard David Letterman admit to his liaisons and attempted blackmail extortion plot.  Years ago in Natchez, Mississippi, eight siblings, all Baby Boomers, under the age of thirteen, sadly lost their mother.  The siblings; Vivian Beatrice Young Bright, Dr. James Henry Young, Jr., Bernice Young Tolbert, Theron Young Eagleton, Lonnie Lee Young, Deborah Ann Young, Dr. Devell Ray Young and Glenda Faye Young battled adversity.  In Baby Boomer style, the siblings adapted to harsh realities, relied upon intuition and forged ahead with rare confidence.  David Letterman used his Boomer personality to humorously and cleverly address his issues.  The siblings and David Letterman are Baby Boomers, a determined, resourceful, resilient crew.

Visual Poet Honor the Young and the Restless Distinct Dramatic Realism

Yes, I know the 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards Winners have been revealed.  I categorically disagree with the winner of the 2009 Daytime Emmy Best Drama Award.  Obviously, someone made a mistake; for the Young and the Restless is dramatic realism at its best.  The Y & R story threads are carefully woven with exciting twists and turns and always chock-full of lessons to learn.  My Effervesce Award visual poetry was created to eternally honor the Young and the Restless as the number one soap opera of all time.

Bernie Mac Will Be Missed; His Comic Star Will Shine Brightly, Forever

Dear diary, Bernie Mac’s brand of comedy was uniquely entertaining.  And, while many suffer during the tough economical times, his comedy routines were and always will be pure medicine for the soul.   Bernie Mac’s comedy was a definite remedy to lighten, any load.  Without a doubt, Bernie Mac left his mark on this Earth and his comic star will shine for an eternity.

Visual Poet Mourns the Death of Bernie Mac; Influenced to Focus On, We the People of America

Dear diary, the death of Bernie Mac has profoundly influenced the subject matter of my future blogs.  My poetry has always been written to enlighten and encourage, not placing steady focus on specific people.  Yes, as planned, I will create the 2009 Presidential Poetic Portrait.  But, from this day forward, I will concentrate on, we the people of America.  Just as Patti La Belle sings in Oh, People; “There will be no sides to take, if we can’t change the course we’re own.” “Apart we are weak, together we’re strong.”  Godspeed, Bernie Mac, Godspeed!!!

Visual Poet Serenaded By The Original Temptations

Dear diary, today is a Temptin' Temptations day.  I can't seem to get enough of listening to Paul Williams sing "Don't Look Back" and "I Want A Love I Can See".  Paul was the sexiest of all of the Temptations.  One day I may create a visual poem to honor the Temps.
